It also provides information on current statistics that allow you to understand how significant the growing epidemic of obesity is today. The solution in my podcast..well you’ll just have to tune in to find out.
Reflecting back on this semester long assignment made me think of all the hard work ive put into this. It was an interesting project. I learned america is fat, and her people are fatter. We need to work out. I am pleased that I didnt have to work with a group because I prefer self reliance. Overall I did good.
This video will describe how to swing a bat in great detail. Also Mr. Wilson, not only a master of the custodial arts, but apparently an expert ball player as well, will give you the run down. After this video you will be swinging like a champion.
Obesity rates among children in the U.S. have doubled since 1980 and have tripled for adolescents. About 17 percent of children aged 2 to 19 are considered overweight compared to over 66 percent of adults who are considered overweight or obese. Earlier onset of type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and obesity-related depression in children and teens is being seen more frequently by health care professionals. The longer a person is obese, the more significant obesity-related risk factors become. Given the chronic diseases and conditions associated with obesity and the fact that obesity is difficult to treat, prevention is extremely important.
While the trends are distressful, there is much that can be done to put child health first. Dietary guidelines and federally funded programs are already leading the way by mandating change in the way schools and daycare centers address the crisis, and many advocacy organizations cuurently support these efforts. Empowering children with education and specific tools for making better choices is the key to promoting health.
Obesity, the condition of being grossly overweight, has hit people of all ages, across the globe. Many factors contribute to obesity, one of the chief reasons being junk food and lack of exercise. Obese people, out of laziness or the mere reason of being overweight, often skip regular exercises, even the simple ones. Worst is the case of those people who live on earth just to stuff themselves with food. With self-determination and some efforts, you can help yourself a great deal in preventing the condition of being obese. Simple activities, such as climbing the stairs instead of using lifts, morning and evening walk in the park and swimming, can bring about big changes in your lifestyle. Such activities will not only help you burn excess fat, but also help you stay active.
Working out and dieting can help prevent obesity but you must choose to do this. I believe if everyone worked out and ate even a little bit better the obesity rate would go down considerably and save many lives. I also think most people are lazy and wont bother to change their habits. This is why we are the fattest country.
This is one way, if everyone was on board, to lower the waistline of many people and help get down the obesity rates. It might also help our future generations stay healthier and live longer. This video has some good tips in it.
Taxing the unhealthy (fast) foods would allow use to gain tons of money in tax revenue, which we could use to combat other problems. I think that if we raised the prices of fatty and unhealthy foods and then lower the prices of healthy and nutritional we would be able to get people to buy the healthy food instead of the unhealthy foods. That way if a person has that $1 and he can’t afford the price of the pricey cheeseburger he’ll head over and get himself a salad which now costs that $1. Basically switch the prices of the foods, if a cheeseburger cost $1 and a salad $3, then make it so the salad costs $1 and cheeseburger cost $3.
